The Happiness Tag

Earlier this week I was tagged in a YouTube video by my lovely friend Steph. For those of you that have watched her videos you will know that she is a genuinely happy person. So I was more than pleased to pass on this tag – there are only a few questions and I will tag a few of you in to share the love!

Questions:
1. What food makes you happy?

This is hard, I love ALL food! If I could pick 1 thing it would probably be sweeties. I would prefer a big bag of Haribo over a bar of chocolate any day!

Soooo Yummy!!!

Soooo Yummy!!!

2. What movie makes you happy?

Hmmm a happy movie….Up. I love it it just makes me feel good! The movie that has the most memories for me though is either Spiceworld OR The Sound Of Music. The Spice Girls were a massive part of my childhood and I love how cheesy the movie is, The Sound Of Music is an all time classic and I love it!

3. What song makes you happy?

This is hard. The one song I will put on in the car and really ruin with my singing is Dominio by Jessie J. I get my groove on and end up with a smile on my face! There are 2 other songs, one is Mr Blue Sky by ELO abd the other is called Echo Beach, it’s so old, but it reminds me of summer holidays to Devon. My dad used to make tapes for our trips and they would always be on there and we all sing along!

4. What item of clothing makes you happy?

Strange question….Ok it doesn’t make me fell happy, it makes me feel confident and that is my Black Jeans. They pull me in at the right places and go with pretty much everything.

5. What’s you happiest memory?

Wow! That’s difficult! I have A LOT of happy memories from throughout my mere 26 (ok almost 27 years!). 2 that spring to mind straight away was my holiday last year as a family to my godparents, I remember being sat on top of the roc just looking out on lower manhatten and feeling really content, I had the same feeling sat on my godparents porch just a few days later. The other one is with Matt, it’s a really silly one but we were in Weymouth visiting his grandparents and I had way too much drink the night before and was really feeling sorry for myself and said something like ‘no one cares, nobody loves me’ (i think when I called my mum she showed no sympathy) and he turned round and said ‘well I love you.’

6. What beauty product makes you happy?

This is easy! I have only just started using this product it’s a shampoo  (that still counts?) by Milkshake. It’s purple and after 6 weeks of having my hair coloured it still looks as great as it did when I first had it coloured.

7. What do you do to make yourself feel happier when your down?

I tend to just keep myself to myself when im not feeling great. I also look for holidays online or I might watch funny you tube videos.

Here is one of my favourites….

8. List 3 random things that make you happy…

Seeing people I care about happy
Sunflowers
Shopping

I will a few lovely people that I follow on Instagram to share their Happiness with everyone too! Here is the original video by Steph….

Holiday Vlogging!

As you know Matt & I were recently in Vegas for 7 days with our really good friends Steph & Dan. We had such a great holiday and I am currently in the process of making a photo book of a once in a lifetime holiday! However, as I have mentioned to you all before, Steph has her own YouTube Channel Loved By Steph and she actually did some vlogging whilst we were away. Initially I was nervous about being on one of her video’s as I will quite often go without make up or not always look my best, but after a while you forget that you are being filmed and especially after a couple of drinks, just don’t care haha! I wanted to wait until both vlogs where up before I shared them with you, so here we go – here is our lovely holiday!

Please make sure you do a “thumbs up” if you like what you see and why not even subscribe to her channel!

To Vlog Or Not To Vlog?!

One of my best friends is a vlogger and a bloomin’ good one too! I envy how easy she finds talking to the camera and how great she is with it too. She has over 6,500 subscribers and most of her videos have had over 5,00 views some even hitting over 30,000! When she set up her channel, I remember it mainly being about cruelty free animal products, it has now grown into beauty & homeware hauls, reviews, lifestyle topics and even some tutorials. Here are some links to some of my favourite video’s that she has uploaded!

Now, about a year ago I thought about maybe starting up a channel to go alongside my blog and be a way to actually share my experiences with you, as although reading and looking at photo’s is just as fun sometimes actually seeing something makes it ten times better. I scrapped this idea when I remembered that I don’t always wear make-up sometimes I have my PCOS beard going on or I haven’t done my hair. Then just before Christmas I changed my mind and I was determined to start a channel and sod the fact I haven’t made myself up, but something is always holding me back. I really want to share my experiences with you, but it is my own insecurities that are holding me back, but I can promise you that one day I will surprise you and I will announce that we have a channel!

In the meantime, please subscribe to Loved By Steph on YouTube and she will keep you entertained with new video’s every week!

London Fashion Weekend

Today I am recovering from a looooooong, fun day in London! As you all might know if you have read my previous post https://butterflybucketlist.wordpress.com/2013/12/29/santa-actually-came you will know that my wonderful boyfriend brought me a ticket to London Fashion Weekend and invited my friends Steph and Hayley along with me so we could have a properly girly day out!

So here is what I finally decided on wearing – nothing that I posted I would – well apart from my Black Skinnys and Leather Jacket!

Unfortunately Hayley had injured her back and wasn’t able to join us, so me and Steph headed up to London on the 8.40 train – non stop talking and catching up on things the whole journey there. We stopped off at Starbucks when we arrived at Waterloo and had a quick drink and some yummy breakfast. I had a gorgeous Vanilla Spice Latte – I love the flavour, but think it is only a special for now so I will need to find a new favourite! It was also the first time I have properly had my name on a Starbucks Cup – I was very happy!

So we headed off and made the short walk to Somerset House over Waterloo Bridge, I was so glad it wasn’t raining and as long as it wasn’t windy and despite how grey London is, I think it always looks a bit prettier when the skies are blue and the sun is shining!

So when we got into Somerset House we were given our lanyards and guides and our goodie bags! I found out that because I was on Vodafone network I was also entitled to a free Maybelline Nail Polish. Here is a list of what goodies I got!

Lavazza Qualita Oro
Beauty Bar – Cereal Cubes, Coconut, Almonds & Honey
Label M. Hairspray
Maybelline Baby Lips – Hydrate
Essie Nail Polish – Naughty Nautical

We were booked into 2 fashion shows, one trend and one designer. The trend show was put on by The Outnet.com, they put on 4 separate sections: Precious Metals, Flower Power, Lace Embrace, Good Sport. My favourite section was probably either Flower Power and Good Sport, it was nice to see different bits on the catwalk and take some inspiration for when I am shopping.

Our designer show was Julien McDonald, I have to admit I was a little disappointed as the Catwalk Show itself only lasted 10 minutes, however the clothes were phenomenal – here is a few snippets that I took!

We had a look round the pop up shops they had and whilst the accessories were quite nice, there was nothing really that caught my eye. Whilst I really enjoyed my experience of London Fashion Weekend, I don’t feel that I am that into high end fashion as others that were there, but I definitely enjoyed my day!

We left Somerset House at about 3pm and mooched for a bit around Covent Garden and ended up in Byron Burger for something to eat before deciding to head back to Waterloo and catch the train home…..we then found out there was a LUSH store at Waterloo and just had to go in……

I ended up buying some really nice smelling goodies and I just cannot wait to have a nice relaxing bath!

All in all my experience of a fashion show was a really great one and I really did enjoy myself, however I don’t think I would go again as I’m not a high end fashion bunny.

Count down to my next bucket list adventure!

here is a trailer for Steph’s YouTube Channel – it is definitely worth a visit

Vlogger, Blogger, Follower!

Whilst I love telling you all about me and my life, I thought I would share with you today 2 of blogs I read and people I follow!

First up, is my best friend Steph, I have known Steph for 10 years in September. We met at college and quite often caught the train together, we weren’t in the same classes but we were studying the same subject. We have enjoyed MANY trips together abroad and in this country and we need to plan our Spring/Summer shopping trip! Steph is mainly a vlogger on youtube but she does have a blog as well, her speciality is fashion & beauty. She is an avid animal lover and all of the products she uses are cruelty free. I have to admit that I am not a big fashion/beauty fan, however I can always rely on Steph to guide me in the right direction!

Now, she has warned me not to watch any recent videos as there is some Christmas presents in there! So please everyone take a look through her video’s and her blog and make sure you subscribe to her channel as I know there is a good Christmas giveaway coming up! Steph is also on instragram, twitter & pinterest so you can keep up with her recommendations everywhere!

If you are losing weight or keeping fit and you are looking for some inspiration, look no further than Amanda Tyson. I stumbled upon her facebook page last Christmas and I can honestly say that I have never found anyone as inspiring as her. Amanda was in the final 30 to be picked for the Biggest Loser 12, but wasn’t chosen for the show. When you look at her before and after photo’s alone will be such motivation to you! She is real and honest about how she feels regarding life, weight loss, keep fit and it is so refreshing to see someone wearing their heart on their sleeve. Amanda is an avid BE KIND promoter and you will quite often find yourself just getting a smile on your face when you are reading her posts! I follow Amanda’s blog, twitter and instagram – but she does have a facebook page too.
