A Perfect Winter Wedding

I am not sure about you, but my pinterest is constantly covered with wedding idea’s and I thought, as I am heading off on Hayley’s hen weekend today, I would share with you my idea’s for a perfect winter wedding!

The Colour Scheme

I think for winter weddings, most people go with traditional reds, creams, golds or silver but I always like something a bit different and I figured there are others of you out there that are like that too! I was inspired when I saw a gorgeous bridal bouquet, which had white, purples and a really deep red, it gives you so much room to do different things…..
i love the colours in this bouquet/:

The Bridesmaid Dresses

I think Bridesmaid dresses are so personal to the bridesmaid and to the bride, so I got a couple of idea’s for style, but its more the colour that I was hunting down looking for a really deep red or a deep purple with gorgeous baby’s breath bouquets. Here are a couple of dresses and bouquets that I have found, which I think would go perfectly…..

The Groom & Groomsmen

We cant forget about the man of the hour and what he is going to rock up wearing with his favourite men. My thinking is that gorgeous navy blue suits would go fantastically with this, I found the perfect one for groom and the groomsmen and they are up for RENT from theblacktux.com
and for the Groomsmen, same colour just not quite as posh with a tie instead of a bow tie!
I think these button holes would be fantastic for them too……

The Favors

That Magical Season

Its almost upon us, Sky have their Christmas Movie channel on and there is Christmas music being played on the music channels, the shops have Christmas cards, wrapping paper and BHS has those classic “gifts” that are out EVERY year and boots have their 3 for 2 offer on their “gifts” too. Its official, that magical season is almost upon us!

We are just over 1/2 way through November and I can honestly say I haven’t yet given in and started watching Christmas movies BUT I have started Christmas shopping, however, I think next week will be the week when the I make that change! I have borrowed the Nativity movies from my friend Hayley and they are going to be top on my list next week, we are also heading upto London to visit Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park and what a better way to start the Christmas season.

Myself and Steph have also scheduled a Christmas “date” to get a red cup hot chocolate from Starbucks and have a look around the garden centres as they are always dressed lovely and we can get some cute decorations and last minute gift ideas.

I really love Christmas and everything that comes with it, so to share the joy, I am going to do a Christmas blog every Thursday in the run up to Christmas, hopefully share some tips, ideas and laughs!

So sit back, make a hot chocolate, put on a Christmas movie and enjoy those dark winter evenings!

Much Love xxxx

Seasonal Shop AW14

Hello All,

For the past few weeks I have been pinning idea’s to a new board on Pinterest ready for my next big shopping sesh with my bestie in October.

We arent going too far, but I know we will be out all day & I will end the day shattered and out of money! Here are a few things I have seen online that I really like!

I have realised that I am loving burgundy and I really hope that I can get a few of these when we go shopping in a few weeks time. The bed spread is just phenomenal, but its completely out of my price range. I put back a winter bedspread last year and I am completely not going to make that mistake again this year! And I think some of you will say it looks rubbish, but I am loving tartan at the moment for bed clothes and the nightshirt looks sooo cosy, I cant wait to buy it and sit on my bed in the tartan nightshirt with a yummy hot chocolate watching a romantic movie with some candles on and it raining outside! Oh I cant wait for autumn/winter – we seem to be having an indian summer at the moment on the south coast, but I am hoping the weather will turn soon and I can start wearing some boots and cosy jumpers!

If you would like to check out my pinboard here is the link http://uk.pinterest.com/princessepink/autumn-winter-wishlist-2014

I will share with you my purchases in a few weeks time!

What’s Next?!

Hey Everyone!

I posted a status on my facebook last week due asking if anyone would like to come to NYC with me in December to experience Christmas in New York……My cousin text me instantly and said even though she is moving out soon and saving for a wedding she will go – I was soo pleased!

I have been thinking and people often say to me how many times have you been to NYC don’t you want to see somewhere different? What is so special about NYC?? I feel a bond with NYC, I feel safe there – it was my first holiday abroad without my parents, I have been with so many different people and each time I have been it has been different, I always experience something different when I am there….but this time I get it, if I went again it would be my 5th visit in 9 years and twice in 1 year.

So I am just hoping for some advice from anyone – do you go back to the same place more than once? do you want to explore anywhere else?

I posted a tweet last night So this June will be my 4th visit to NYC……..do I really need to go back at Christmas?! #toomuch #overkill #advice #travel #NYC and Las (an Irish ex-pat currently living in TX) was one of the first people to tweet me back and suggested Texas and bless her soul even offered me her spare room if her and Col were still living there! I was beyond bowled over by her generosity!

I texted my cousin and ask her realistically if she can see herself going to NYC this December…..we have decided to postpone our trip to NYC for another time….So this leaves me to look for a December trip.

I am looking to go to America, for a maximum of 5 days here are my possibilities so far:

Tennesse (Memphis & Nashville)

Sooo I am on the hunt for possibilities!

Wish me luck

Spoilt Rotten!

Happy Saturday Everyone!

I am getting ready to go out for dinner with some friends and just thought I would pop by! I would like to wish all my American followers a belated Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you all enjoyed wonderful celebrations with your family & friends!

I had yesterday off work and finished up the last bits of christmas shopping and also treated myself to a few goodies! A few weeks back my friend Steph brought a bubble bar in Lush called Golden Wonder she told me that I definitely need to get one and I will love what happens…..so when I was browsing the shops on Friday I sauntered into Lush and thought what the hell and brought myself one! I am looking forward to bath time tomorrow!

I also brought some new nail varnish…..because I don’t have enough…..there was a hair and nail shop and they had 15% off and I just HAD to get the Mariah Carey OPI trio set, there was 2 to choose from and mine includes: Silent Stars Go By, Baby Please Come Home & Make Him Mine. I sneaked in some wet look jeans from Dotty P’s…..my man likes these, so more a treat for him!

Now I am not one to buy perfume unless I am at duty free, however, I have been using the same 2 perfumes for about a year and wanted to mix it up a bit! I remembered when I went on holiday a few years back I brought Diamonds by Armarni and used it until the very last drop and never got a replacement. I was a bit taken aback by the cost, but I had the spare cash and went for it and I am so glad I did as I forgot how nice it was! My other ‘duty free’ purchase was brought from Ted Baker. I got a gorgeous nude purse, I have wanted one for a long time and always said “that is my next duty free purchase” but never brought one! So even though it cost almost as much as the perfume, I went for it!

Now I know your thinking ‘she only went clothes shopping a couple of months ago’, I know….however clothes are very much a necessity and you need appropriate clothes for each season(Steph are you proud?!). The items I brought are luxuries to me and I probably won’t spend like that again for a long time!

Hell if I can’t treat myself then I won’t be sending anyone Christmas gifts hahahaha ! Sooooo tomorrow is the first day of December! We already have our lights outside and I think my dad is going to start putting up the decs next week! I am off to visit some garden centres tomorrow and explore their Winter Wonderlands!

Have a great Saturday Night and enjoy your chocolate for breakfast tomorrow!

Much Love
