Wishlist!

Recently I had the joy of spending some of a Saturday afternoon with a beautiful friend of mine that I don’t get to see as often as I would like. After catching up over a Starbucks we decided to have a mooch around the shops, our setting was Whiteley a lovely little outdoor shopping centre just off the M27 in Hampshire. With a range of high street stores, coffee shops, restaurants, a cinema and free parking for 4 hours you can’t go wrong!

We haven’t shopped together for a LOOOOOOONG time and it was lovely to (for me) do some window shopping! However, it mean that I have ended up with a wish list as long as my arm of things that I want need to spend money (that I dont have) on!

So, I thought I would share with my current wish list, because it will continue to grow haha!

Recipe Book – Paperchase £6 – It’s perfect, it has space for the ingredients, the method and any notes you want to make, like its your partners favourite or if it was good to make when you had friends over!

Winter Coat – River Island £115 – I don’t need a winter coat, I need a transitional coat. BUT when I saw this my heart just skipped a beat it is BEAUTIFUL! However the price tag is slightly out of my league, that didn’t stop me trying it on & honestly if you need a new winter coat BUY IT.

Denim Pinafore – Topshop £36 – I have one similar from Primark in Black, but there is something about this one that I love and I feel its perfect for all seasons! I have never been a lover of Topshop as I have always felt too large for their clothes, but I would definitely consider making this purchase!

Chevron Leather Skirt – Marks & Spencer £27.50 – I love a skirt at winter, teamed up with tights boots and a nice top and this is perfect for that. I dont often shop at M&S for anything other than undies and good food, but perhaps I need to check them out more often!

It’s just a small list, but an expensive one! I doubt I will get any of these items – but a girl can dream right?

What have you got your eye on in the shops at the moment?

Pay Day Wishlist

This post was originally meant to be about the Seafood Festival at Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth that Matt & I attended last Saturday. Unfortunately it wasn’t that good and 100% not blog worthy! However, whilst looking round the shops I really wished it was payday and I had some spare cash to spend…..

With just £15 to my name and just enough fuel to get me to and from work for the next 5 days when I wrote this, I decided I was going to do some dreaming about what to spend my money on next month!

So, everyone has bills to pay each month and savings (mine is for Canada next year) but after that most of us have a bit of money to play with. For me the amount of play money I have depends on how much I am saving that month and that all depends on how much I have dipped into my savings the month before hand haha!

But this payday, I have some plans and things I want to buy!

  • A new dress for Goodwood Races in August. The theme this year is navy and white – I am thinking a white dress, joined with a navy bag and shoes. Perhaps something like this one from New Look.

  •  Chrome Nail Polish by Sensationail. I really want the silver and cobalt blue one – I love how they look! A bargain for £6.99!

  • Birthday Goodies for my best friend. Its her birthday towards the end of July and I always try to get something that she wants and a little something extra.

  • Plants for the garden. I love our garden BUT its crying out for some greenery and colour! I got some terracotta pots a month or so ago, so I just need to get something to go in in!

So only a few little treats, but sometimes that’s all you need to make you feel happy a few little splurges here and there dont hurt anyone! That reminds me, I think I will need to pick up some smellies too and maybe take Matt out for dinner or drinks one sunny evening too!

So what do you like to spend your fun money on? Is it spent on take outs and drinks out of an evening or perhaps a new wardrobe each month! Why not sound off in the comments below so we can all have a natter together!

Keep Smiling!

Seasonal Shop AW14

Hello All,

For the past few weeks I have been pinning idea’s to a new board on Pinterest ready for my next big shopping sesh with my bestie in October.

We arent going too far, but I know we will be out all day & I will end the day shattered and out of money! Here are a few things I have seen online that I really like!

Autumn-Winter

I have realised that I am loving burgundy and I really hope that I can get a few of these when we go shopping in a few weeks time. The bed spread is just phenomenal, but its completely out of my price range. I put back a winter bedspread last year and I am completely not going to make that mistake again this year! And I think some of you will say it looks rubbish, but I am loving tartan at the moment for bed clothes and the nightshirt looks sooo cosy, I cant wait to buy it and sit on my bed in the tartan nightshirt with a yummy hot chocolate watching a romantic movie with some candles on and it raining outside! Oh I cant wait for autumn/winter – we seem to be having an indian summer at the moment on the south coast, but I am hoping the weather will turn soon and I can start wearing some boots and cosy jumpers!

I will share with you my purchases in a few weeks time!

London Fashion Weekend

Today I am recovering from a looooooong, fun day in London! As you all might know if you have read my previous post https://butterflybucketlist.wordpress.com/2013/12/29/santa-actually-came you will know that my wonderful boyfriend brought me a ticket to London Fashion Weekend and invited my friends Steph and Hayley along with me so we could have a properly girly day out!

So here is what I finally decided on wearing – nothing that I posted I would – well apart from my Black Skinnys and Leather Jacket!

Unfortunately Hayley had injured her back and wasn’t able to join us, so me and Steph headed up to London on the 8.40 train – non stop talking and catching up on things the whole journey there. We stopped off at Starbucks when we arrived at Waterloo and had a quick drink and some yummy breakfast. I had a gorgeous Vanilla Spice Latte – I love the flavour, but think it is only a special for now so I will need to find a new favourite! It was also the first time I have properly had my name on a Starbucks Cup – I was very happy!

So we headed off and made the short walk to Somerset House over Waterloo Bridge, I was so glad it wasn’t raining and as long as it wasn’t windy and despite how grey London is, I think it always looks a bit prettier when the skies are blue and the sun is shining!

So when we got into Somerset House we were given our lanyards and guides and our goodie bags! I found out that because I was on Vodafone network I was also entitled to a free Maybelline Nail Polish. Here is a list of what goodies I got!

Lavazza Qualita Oro
Beauty Bar – Cereal Cubes, Coconut, Almonds & Honey
Label M. Hairspray
Maybelline Baby Lips – Hydrate
Essie Nail Polish – Naughty Nautical

We were booked into 2 fashion shows, one trend and one designer. The trend show was put on by The Outnet.com, they put on 4 separate sections: Precious Metals, Flower Power, Lace Embrace, Good Sport. My favourite section was probably either Flower Power and Good Sport, it was nice to see different bits on the catwalk and take some inspiration for when I am shopping.

Our designer show was Julien McDonald, I have to admit I was a little disappointed as the Catwalk Show itself only lasted 10 minutes, however the clothes were phenomenal – here is a few snippets that I took!

We had a look round the pop up shops they had and whilst the accessories were quite nice, there was nothing really that caught my eye. Whilst I really enjoyed my experience of London Fashion Weekend, I don’t feel that I am that into high end fashion as others that were there, but I definitely enjoyed my day!

We left Somerset House at about 3pm and mooched for a bit around Covent Garden and ended up in Byron Burger for something to eat before deciding to head back to Waterloo and catch the train home…..we then found out there was a LUSH store at Waterloo and just had to go in……

I ended up buying some really nice smelling goodies and I just cannot wait to have a nice relaxing bath!

All in all my experience of a fashion show was a really great one and I really did enjoy myself, however I don’t think I would go again as I’m not a high end fashion bunny.

Count down to my next bucket list adventure!

here is a trailer for Steph’s YouTube Channel – it is definitely worth a visit

Fashion Problems For Fashion Week!

Ok, so this is a blog for the Ladies! I need your help!

I am heading to London Fashion Weekend on Saturday and I literally cannot wait! but I have a dilemma……

what do I wear?!

I am not a high fashion follower, I do follow the trends but I wear what I am comfortable in and what I think suits me. So I have decided I am wearing my black skinny jeans, these are always in fashion and they make me look skinny hahaha!

My hair I am planning on loose curling one side, make up will be natural and nothing too drastic, I am not a big fan of really doing up my face unless I am on a night out, so will probably just opt for foundation, powder, bronzer, eye liner and mascara. I will probably wear my Armani Diamonds Perfume too..

Nails I have been hunting and I am probably going to do one of the 3 designs

The next issue is what top to wear…my first option is a black tank top and my new pink jumper I got from h&m with a gold statement necklace. I thought its casual and I will still look ok, my only problem is that the jumper is bright and I will literally stand out wherever we are!

20140218-212738.jpg

2nd option is a plain grey tee with a statement necklace and my faux leather jacket from New Look and maybe black heeled boots?!

20140218-212808.jpg

3rd option is my safety choice….trademark leopard print top with a necklace and my faux leather blazer with either heels, pumps or flat boots….

20140218-212836.jpg

I have honestly no clue what to wear! I want to look presentable but not smart and not too casual!

Have you been to fashion week? What did you wear? Or what would you wear if you were going?

Please help!

A Hidden Gem

So about a year ago I saw on Instagram a candle in the states called Clarity Candle, it’s basically a candle with a jewel in it which can be anything from $10 to $5000. When I was in the states I was too late to order one which I was gutted about, but figured I could do it next time I am out there.

I went round to my bestie’s house a few months ago and she said to me she has been sent some candles review on her vlog and blog and did I want to take a look at them? So like excited kids we opened up the box and they were just like Clarity Candle, but called Imperial Candle and a completely UK based company. The description informs that the candle is 100% Natural Soy Wax, made and hand poured in the UK. There is also 2 Wicks to prevent tunneling and the thing that impressed me the most was the burn time of 120-150 hours!

The candles were stunning and the smell was amazing I just knew I had to order one! So come payday, I went online and placed my order, choosing the fragrance was the hardest thing, the ones that caught my eye were:

Strawberry Chocolate
Tropical Coconut
Fresh Fruit Slice

I really liked the pictures they have on the website of the candle and you can select a ring size or put suprise me. I hinted a few times to my brother and my mum about these before Christmas and I was really pleased to open my gift on Christmas Day from my brother and it was ‘Tropical Coconut’!

My Buddha Loves The Candle!

It burns like the best candle I have ever had and the smell is devine, although I am really impatient so waiting until you see that gold wrapper just took forever! So when I saw the gold peeking out at me I took my tweezers and started to dig it out! I was really pleased when I unwrapped the foil and was greeted by a stunning sparkly heart shaped necklace! At first I thought it was a bit too shiny, but as soon as I put it on I loved it! It even came with a little tag advising how much it is worth, the tag advised that my necklace is worth £25!

Simply Stunning!
